Leave the car at Les Druges Basses [1567 m]. Les Druges-Basses [1567 m]. Having reached the small square at the end of the flat road, you will turn down a small uphill road. After about 50 min. walk you will arrive at the “Fontana Fredda” (Cold Spring) chalet from which you can admire an amazing panorama. On a clear day you can see the outline of the Matterhorn (‘Cervino’ in italian) where it stands between the peaks of the Pennine Alps. Continuing up the road, you will arrive at a cross-roads: turning right, you will reach the Plan-du-Colbat [Saint-Marcel –1930 m], but in order to reach the two peaks we advise that you carry straight on. After a few dozen metres you will arrive at another cross-roads. For il Mont Torrasse If you carry straight on, in 5-7 minutes you will arrive at Le Plan-des-Meyes [1875 m], easily recognisable because it has only one house. Here the path disappears: you must in any case pass through the woods for a few dozen metres until the thinning of the trees allows you to see the Monte Torasse’s peak. It’s necessary a certain amount of caution because of the steep slope, but there should be no great danger. The panorama is breath-taking: you can make out the entire Clavalité valley, with Punta Tersiva in the background.
For Praz-Premier / Mont Corquet peak Continuing on along the right-hand road, after a rather testing slope, you will arrive at Bren [1960 m], from which it is possible to enjoy a wonderful panoramic view: you can see Mont Torasse [1854 m], Mont Saint-Julien [1384 m] and the whole of the Nus hill. |
